North West Sydney Tennis launches into 2025 off the Back of the Australian Open
There is nothing like the Australian Open to wet the appetite for tennis at NWST in 2025
A number of NWST members and players visited or participated in the first grand slam of the tennis calendar.
Special mention goes to our NWST member, Radoje Vukic, whose son Aleksandar Vukic, originally a NWST junior, enjoyed the best grand slam run of his career at the Australian Open.
The world No.68 upset 22nd seed Sebastion Korda in 5 sets in front of an energetic crowd at John Caine Arena

NWST Players Shine at the AO
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news. This year, two of our NWST players attended the prestigious Australian Open Super 10s and Super 12s competition.
Super10s is an elite event that gathers the top 10 boys and girls in Australia in the 10/U and 12/U categories.
Meet our champions:
Roy Lee (10/U) - ranked 6th in Australia on UTR
Ethan Wang (12/U)- ranked 2nd in Australia on UTR.
Beyond their matches Roy and Ethan gained insights from some of Australia's top coaches and received mentorship from legends like Lleyton Hewitt.
Whale Rock Trail Run
For those challenging themselves to the whale rock trail run, attending courts for any reason or entering Pennant Hills Park on the 23rd of Feburary, here is some important information:
- Please note that access to NWST this coming Sunday will be closed at Brittania Road at the top of the roundabout adjacent to the athletics oval from 7:50am to 8:05am and seperatley 8:20am to 8:35am to make way for the two waves of runners.
- We encourage all players to avoid arriving between 7:45am-8:45am. If necersarry, please park at the north ovals and walk down. To avoid disruption all members, players, family, and coaching staff are asked to be in position by 7:45am.
- From 9:00am onwards, we ask all drivers to drive carefully at the intersection of Hockey/Archery access road as runners are returning from the trail to the oval.

Grading and registration for NWST Saturday Junior Competition 2025 Term 1 are NOW CLOSED.
Monday Night Ladies(MNL) Competition
The MNL competition on a Monday night provides a great opportunity to hone your tennis skills while enjoying the company of other ladies at one of the best precincts in Sydney.
Even though their competition is growing Fay and the team are are always keen to include new members into the MNL team.
The competition runs for a number of weeks with semi finals and final nights on the 3rd and 10th March
