North West Primary and Secondary Schools Challenge

Term 3 Secondary School Challenge - 13 August from 5.30pm

The Primary and Secondary Schools Challenge are team events played amongst primary or secondary schools from the north west of Sydney. Teams consist of 3 double pairs, with each pair being graded into a round robin division. Ranking points are awarded to each team.

Schools may enter multiple teams of 3 player pairs. If a school does not have three pairs, players may enter as pairs from the same school. Players may also enter as an individual to be paired where available by the organisers with another player of similar ability from a different school. If you play with a regular partner from a different school, you may also enter as a pair.

As this is a graded competition, players/parents are requested to provide as much information as possible regarding the child's playing ability in order to be placed in the appropriate division.

Key details requested:

  • Hours/week playing tennis
  • UTR and/or JT participation info
  • Players who currently play in North West Sydney Tennis/ETDTA's Saturday Junior Competitions are exempt from providing grading information as their comp stats will be used to determine division/grading.

If no player history is given, your child will play social/unformated fun tennis for the evening.

The Primary school challenge is held in May and November each year on a nominated Saturday from 5.30 - 8pm.

The Secondary school challenge is held in March and August each year on a nominated Saturday from 5.30 - 9pm.

Graded round robin doubles with each division consisting of 4, 5 or 6 pairs so that each pair will play 4 or 5 ‘matches’. Each ‘match’ will consist of 5 (or 4) games, with sudden death deuce.

Trophies are awarded to the winning school of the night (top 3 player pairs).

Medallions are awarded to winners and runners-up in each division.

$23 per player, payable when completing registration. Refunds are not given after online entries close.

A BBQ, canteen facilities and barista coffee/tea will be available on the night.
